Introducing Kibanda Shambani – Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food

Today marks a new chapter in our story — the official launch of Kibanda Shambani, a platform built to bridge the gap between farmers and the families they feed.

For years, most of us haven’t known where our food truly comes from. Somewhere between the farm and the market, freshness gets lost, prices go up, and the story of the farmer disappears. At Kibanda, we believe that story deserves to live again — in every home, every plate, every bite.

Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food

Kibanda Shambani is more than a grocery service; it’s a community bridge.
We provide farmers with a clean, safe, and organized warehouse where they can store their fresh produce before it’s delivered to you.

We DO NOT own the products — the food belongs to the farmers and local grocery partners. We simply bring them together in one place for better coordination, faster delivery, and fairer trade.

We’re proud to share that we’ve been offered a small space by one of our Kibanda grocery partners inside Greatwall Gardens. From this humble start, we’re organizing fresh produce directly from farmers and partners for cleaner, faster deliveries across the estate.

Our first mini-warehouse is next to our Kibanda office at Benmark Complex, near Jaza Supermarket, right outside Greatwall Gardens 3. It’s small and humble, but it connects local farmers directly to homes across Greatwall and its surrounding estates.

And the best part? Delivery is absolutely FREE within Greatwall and nearby estates.

Healthy Food Starts with Honest Farming

Every farmer we work with follows clean, sustainable practices — using clean water irrigation, not sewage, and caring for the soil that feeds us all.

We make sure that all produce is handled in hygienic conditions so that your sukuma, spinach, dhania, and kienyeji arrive fresh, safe, and vibrant — the way food should be.

Why Preorder?

Our produce is perishable and precious. That’s why we’ve introduced a simple preorder system:
When you order before 10PM, we collect fresh produce from the farm early the next morning and deliver it to your door before 11AM.

Preordering helps our farmers plan their harvests better, reduces food waste, and guarantees that what you receive hasn’t been sitting on a shelf overnight — it’s truly fresh from the farm to your doorstep.

A Gift for Our Loyal Customers

To celebrate the launch of Kibanda Shambani, we’re gifting some of our most loyal customers with a free basket of fresh produce today — a small thank-you for believing in community-powered food. If you feel you deserve this gift, please text us, and we’ll sort you!

Calling All Farmers Near Greatwall

If you’re a farmer in Athi River, Mavoko, or nearby areas, we invite you to rent a space in our Kibanda Shambani warehouse. Together, we can build a fair, transparent food system where everyone wins — farmers, families, and deliverymen alike.

Because when you know your farmer, you know your food.
And that’s how real change begins — from the soil to your doorstep.
